Rory Brown is a senior facilities executive and trusted advisor with more than 20 years of experience leading facilities operations, capital projects, workplace services, safety programs, and organizational transformation across museums, universities, educational institutions, research environments, and complex facilities portfolios. As Vice President of Facilities & Workplace Operations for the Computer History Museum, Rory provides strategic leadership for facilities operations, infrastructure planning, workplace services, capital projects, vendor management, and organizational effectiveness. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for transforming underperforming operations, delivering complex projects, and creating cultures of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

 Rory's experience spans executive leadership roles at the Computer History Museum, Silicon Valley International School, and Stanford University, where he successfully led facilities operations for academic buildings, research facilities, performing arts venues, museums, and large-scale capital projects. His work has included managing multimillion-dollar construction and infrastructure initiatives, leading emergency response and restoration efforts, overseeing campus relocations, and directing facilities programs supporting thousands of occupants and visitors.

Known for his ability to build strong relationships with executives, stakeholders, vendors, and frontline teams alike, Rory combines strategic thinking with practical execution to help organizations improve operational performance, reduce risk, optimize resources, and align facilities programs with organizational goals. Rory is also the author of Facilities Management Handbook: A Comprehensive Guide for Leaders, Directors and Senior Managers and the founder of Facility Savant, a consulting practice dedicated to helping organizations achieve operational excellence through strategic facilities leadership.
